Assessment of Tree Diversity and Abundance in Rashad Natural Reserved Forest, South Kordofan, Sudan

This study aims to estimate the tree diversity status of Rashad Forest Reserves in locality South Kordofan State Sudan. For data collection, eight sample plots (20 × 20 m) were taken randomly, and parameters determined: trees species diversity, composition, relative density, dominance, important value index, richness forest reserve. The results show that a total 237 56 species, including 22 families, have been identified area. Fabaceae family numbers highest number 13 8 genera, followed by Combretaceae with belonging 3 different Malvaceae 5 4 Apocynaceae genera. Arecaceae, Burseraceae, Capparaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Meliaceae, Rubiaceae families each had two all other 11 one each. Among found within also indicated Tamarindus indica L. Ziziphus spina-christi (L.) Desf. density dominance 4.64% 11% respectively. Adansonia digitata L., Grewia villosa Willd, Vepris nobilis (Delile) Mziray 4.80% 9%. Followed Anogeissus leiocarpa (DC.) Guill. & Perr, Catunaregam nilotica (Stapf) Tirveng. (Syn: Xeromphis Keay, Vangueria madagascariensis J. F. Gmel. 3.38% 8%, Eleven recorded least 0.42%. Shannon-Weiner index (H’) stood at 3.82. And as indices varied location depending on available an ecological zone, reserve is blessed moderate index.
